The P.W. group at Bushmills endeavours to give the ladies of the congregation an opportunity to grow in their faith through fellowship, friendship and education.
We are primarily an organisation which supports our global workers of the Presbyterian Church, the Deaconess Training Scheme and the outreach work of South Belfast Friendship house. Each year Presbyterian Woman also supports special projects at home and overseas.
We meet monthly, from October to March, and our 24/25 session was extremely busy. As well as our on-going work we also undertook to renovate the kitchen in the Manse. The whole congregation supported us, and we used the Car Boot Sales to serve teas and coffees and to have a ’Produce Stall’ which enabled us to fund the project.
Our next year’s theme is ‘God ……ever present’, and our verse for inspiration is from Psalm 46:1 ‘God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble’. It will be launched at the Presbyterian Women’s Conference on 10th May ’25, with the keynote speaker being Siân Wyn Rees.
Our strapline is ‘Living for Jesus’ and with support and encouragement from one another we try, with our Lord’s help to fulfil this challenge.
Please be assured you would be most welcome to join us at any of our meetings.
