Who we are
About Bushmills Presbyterian Church
We are a congregation located on the picturesque North Antrim Coast of Northern Ireland. Our parish area covers parts of Bushmills, Portballintrae, and the surrounding countryside, as well as some of Ireland’s most famous landmarks, including the Giant’s Causeway and our closest neighbour the Old Bushmills Distillery.
Our Community
Many families have been members here for generations. Other people – married or single – have only recently joined. Then there are the “Friends of Bushmills” – the numerous holidaymakers who visit us at all times of the year. Together we worship Christ in traditional ways, while also using the best in contemporary music and modern technology.
Weekly announcements and recent services are available on our website, allowing everyone to stay connected with church life.
Our Aim
We seek to serve and honour Christ in our daily lives and in our local community. Whoever you are, wherever you’re from, you’re warmly invited to join us in faith and fellowship.
Our Leadership
The Kirk Session and Committee are committed and enthusiastic Christians, who give considerable time and energy to the church’s work. The last election of elders was in autumn 2019, and led to the position where there were equal numbers of male and female elders on session. Currently there are eleven elders.
The current committee is comprised of roughly an equal number of men and women all active and committed to the work of the church.
